## Feature Feedback for OLED Guard Pro Hello, First of all, thank you for developing OLED Guard Pro. I have two feature suggestions that I believe would greatly improve OLED burn-in protection. ### 1. Dedicated Windows Taskbar Protection I would like OLED Guard Pro to have a dedicated masking/dimming feature specifically for the Windows taskbar. Previously, I used OLED Protector Pro, which could quickly dim only the taskbar. In OLED Guard Pro, I can achieve a somewhat similar effect using the **Vignette** feature, but it has several limitations: * The effect is interrupted or becomes ineffective when switching windows or during larger screen changes. * It is not possible to keep the left, right, and top masking areas at 0% while only applying the mask to the bottom taskbar. * It is less convenient than having a dedicated taskbar protection feature. Unfortunately, my OLED monitor has already developed slight image retention on the Windows taskbar icons after only six months of use. Since the Windows taskbar is a static UI element that remains visible most of the time, I hope OLED Guard Pro can provide specialized protection for fixed Windows UI elements such as the taskbar. --- ### 2. HDR Brightness Detection and HUD Protection When Windows HDR is enabled, the Brightness detection in OLED Guard Pro doesn't seem to be very accurate. For example: * In SDR mode, a full white screen is correctly detected as 100% brightness. * In HDR mode, the same white screen is detected as only about 50% brightness. The issue becomes more noticeable when using Windows HDR + RTX HDR to play SDR games. RTX HDR significantly boosts the brightness of many white UI elements, but OLED Guard Pro still reports the overall brightness as less than 10%, even though those UI elements are extremely bright. I really enjoy using RTX HDR for non-HDR games, but one drawback is that white HUD elements become much brighter than intended, increasing the risk of OLED burn-in. It would be very helpful if OLED Guard Pro could support one or more of the following features: * Allow users to define custom HUD regions that are given higher priority when evaluating burn-in risk. * Provide a quick masking or dimming function specifically for HUD areas. * Detect static HUD elements more aggressively instead of relying only on overall screen brightness. This would also prevent situations where opening menus temporarily hides the HUD, causing the accumulated heat/protection progress to reset or increase too slowly when the HUD reappears. Thank you for considering these suggestions. I believe these features would make OLED Guard Pro even more effective for gamers and OLED users.
